Vivo S1

Vivo-s1
VIVO S1

The S1 is the Vivo’s latest take on the smartphones under 40000 price segment in Nepal. The phone comes with eye-pleasing gradients and patterns on the back and a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display on the front. There is a dewdrop notch, that confines 32MP selfie camera, to improve your immersive viewing experience, however, the chin at the bottom gives off.

Sporting the first of the Helio P65 chipset, the device comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can further be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. On the camera department, there is nothing sort of amazing, as it houses a mediocre 16MP + 8MP + 5MP triple cameras on the back. On paper, it looks great, but performance-wise, the cameras don’t live up to it.

The Vivo S1 comes with FunTouch OS 9 atop Android 9.0 Pie and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

OPPO F11

OPPO F11

Sized at 5.53 inch, OPPO F11 comes with 1090-by-2349 IPS LCD display with dewdrop notch on the top that confines a 16MP selfie camera of f/2.0 aperture. On the back, the device has a vertically aligned 48MP + 5MP dual-camera setup, followed by a LED flash and a fingerprint sensor.

OPPO F11 is a toned-down version of OPPO F11 Pro, and the phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Battery-wise, the F11 has a decent 4,020 battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

Especially, keeping the festive season in the mind, OPPO has dropped the F11 price in Nepal to Rs. 31,990 from Rs. 35,490. And this price cut down makes the F11 a perfect choice for smartphones under 40000 in Nepal.

3Huawei P30 Lite / Honor 20 Lite

Huawei-P30-Lite
Huawei P30 Lite

As the name already suggests, Huawei P30 Lite is the toned-down version of the flagship duo — Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. But don’t let that “Lite” tag get it mistaken with the less powerful hardware specs and design.

The P30 Lite houses a 6.15-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, in contrast to P30’s AMOLED display, and a waterdrop notch at the top, a little chin at the bottom and minimum side bezels on the fascia. Though the plastic body, on the back the things are pretty interesting— the elegant curves, beautiful gradients, and a triple-camera setup.

Under the hood, the device is powered by an in-house Kirin 710 chipset, found on Honor 20 Lite, and this is aided by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 3,340mAh battery is something upsets considering other smartphones for the same price range pack a larger battery.

Huawei P30 Lite Price in Nepal: Rs. 39,000 31,000

Also, to note, there is a very little to no difference between the Honor 20 Lite and the Huawei P30 Lite, so you wouldn’t go wrong buying any of these two. And even the pricing for both phones is somewhat similar to the Honor 20 Lite price in Nepal is Rs. 32,500.

Samsung Galaxy M40

Samsung Galaxy M40
Samsung Galaxy M40

Soon as the “Xiaomi and Realme” storm hit the mid-range price segment, it was time for Samsung to be more conscious and bring some improvements in the category. Which they really did with the introduction of Galaxy A-series and M-series. Both the M10 and the M20 are the best smartphones you can get under 15000 and 20000 in Nepal respectively. And undoubtedly, the Galaxy M40 made a seat for itself at the “smartphones under 40000 in Nepal” table.

Snapdragon 675, like we have seen on Realme 5 and Xiaomi Mi A3, powering the M40 comes with a whopping 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The back panel isn’t anything like what the Huawei P30 Lite, Vivo S1 or Real XT’s offer, it’s just plain fading gradient on the M40. However, the back panel does sport a nice combination of 32MP + 8MP + 5MP triple cameras and easy-to-reach rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The most impressive feat the M40 has achieved than any other phones in this list is, the punch-hole display that house a 16MP selfie camera.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 | #1 Smartphone Under 40000 in Nepal

Redmi K20 Pro
Redmi K20 Pro

Name it any category, smartphones under Rs. 10000 or Rs. 30000 or be it under Rs. 50000 price segment, Xiaomi (with its Redmi branded smartphones) rules them all. And this would be no surprise if another Xiaomi branded phone manages to top the list of smartphones under 40000 in Nepal. And yeah, it actually did top with the Redmi K20.

The Redmi K20 is a sibling to the Redmi K20 Pro, and much like its brother, the K20 also is a nice sandwich of glass and metal with an eye-catching sheen appearance on the back. The K20’s all-screen AMOLED display measures 6.39 inches and has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 403 pixels-per-intensity. And to protect the glasses on the front and the back, the K20 employs Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides.

Not the SD885 as seen on K20 Pro, but the K20 is still powerful than the rest of 50000-ish priced smartphones with the Snapdragon 730 under the hood. The K20 variant we have available here in Nepal is of 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.

Speaking of the cameras, the K20 is a champion here with 48MP + 8MP + 13MP triplets on the back and a 20MP motorized selfie shooter on the front. Same goes for the battery with the K20’s 4000mAh.
